Here’s some frequently asked questions…

How do we book you?
Firstly, I always like to meet my clients ( in person is nice but zoom or online also works for me) for a ‘no obligation’ chat to discuss their requirements and learn about their day. This is a good way for me to get to know you and you to know me as well. In order to secure your wedding date, you will need to sign a wedding contract form, complete a pre-wedding questionnaire, and pay a £200 booking fee.

What style of photography do you offer?
My main aim is to provide you with a set of images that reflect the story of your day, therefore my style is very much grounded in documentary wedding photography. However, I do appreciate that family like to have a few group portraits, and will happily plan and coordinate these with you at our final meeting before the big day.

How many photographs will we receive from our wedding?
Typically, at a wedding I will always overshoot. I then spend time editing all the best images for you – removing photos where you are blinking or in mid-sentence. I don’t limit how many photos that I give you but you can expect anywhere from 300 – 400 photos.

How long until we receive our photographs?
I work hard to make sure that your wedding photographs are ready as soon as possible and I aim to have your wedding photographs completed and ready within 2 weeks from your wedding date but more often than not it is much less than this.

What equipment do you use? do you have backups?
I use two professional Sony mirrorless digital cameras with a set of high performance prime lenses. I always have a backup camera, lenses, flash guns, batteries and memory cards on hand if anything goes wrong.

How long have you been a photographer?
I`ve been photographing weddings now for 20 years . I now currently shoot 20/30 weddings a year.

Are you insured?
Yes I am. As a full-time, professional I am fully insured for both public and professional indemnity and have all the paperwork to show if required.

How far do you travel?
There is no limit at all. I travel all over the UK and love to travel internationally for destination weddings abroad. Additional travel costs are quoted for weddings where there is a longer drive or overnight stay involved.

My fiancé and I feel a little awkward having our photo taken, how can you help during the wedding day?
Believe it not, I feel the same so don’t worry, we are on the same page there! However I am super relaxed and do my best to always blend in to the background so not to bring attention to myself. As my style is focused on genuine documentary, just ignore me, be yourselves and enjoy your day. The only time you will be aware of the camera is during any family photos and portraits where there is a little more organising needed.
